About STACO
The Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Organization (STACO) is a leading
Libyan humanitarian and development organization, founded to serve people whose lives have been torn apart by conflicts, disasters and displacements. Inspired by the legacy of Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi, a reformer and humanitarian visionary, STACO blends local insights with global reach to tackle some of the most complex challenges in fragile settings.
Since 2011, STACO has grown from a national lifeline organization in Libya into an emerging regional humanitarian leader, operating through legally registered offices in Türkiye and the UK, and expanding its programs into Sudan, Egypt, Gaza and Syria.
STACO works with integrity, transparency, and local ownership to ensure real, lasting change.
