Relief aid was distributed, including basic food supplies, cleaning materials, supplies and blankets, to 150 families in the Qarabuli area, east of Tripoli.

July 29, 2019 Marzuq City – Libya Completion of the maintenance project for public facilities for two educational schools (Jizaw Educational School) and (Musab bin Omair School) The specialized team of engineers from the Planning and Projects Department at Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation has completed the maintenance project for two educational institutions in the city of Marzuq, after studying and preparing the necessary measurements and maps, due to its great importance in providing the foundations and precise requirements to start the necessary maintenance in those schools and educational institutions in order to return them to service as soon as possible and the possibility of receiving students at the beginning of the new school year. This project comes based on the agreement concluded between Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) regarding the maintenance of educational institutions in the city, which includes maintenance work for both (Jizaw Educational School) (250 students) and (Musab bin Omair School) (890 students).This project is considered one of the pioneering development projects implemented by the Foundation in cooperation with its international partners to work on achieving the required sustainable development. This project includes the maintenance of schools and their health facilities, the maintenance of water networks, as well as a tree planting campaign, in addition to specialized awareness lectures for students by a specialized team assigned by the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Foundation to educate students about preserving the environment, preserving water and public property, and the importance of keeping walls clean, as well as distributing soap bars to students to raise awareness of personal hygiene. This comes out of a keenness to increase environmental awareness among students.

The humanitarian relief team of Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation #STACO distributed emergency humanitarian aid to irregular migrants at the Dhaher Al-Jabal Shelter Center near the city of Yafran, in cooperation with the Italian Sant’Egidio Organization.It is noteworthy that the number of irregular migrants at the center is 650 migrants, and the humanitarian aid provided included food, cleaning supplies, medicines, baby milk, clothes, mattresses and mats.It is noteworthy that most of the migrants at the center hold Eritrean, Ethiopian and Somali nationalities.

This aid is varied to include a basic food box, cleaning supplies, mattresses, blankets, covers, and others, and targeted 300 displaced families from the city of Murzuq.It is worth noting that the situation in the city of Murzuq is still dire, and the city is suffering from the lack of any aid and the continued power and water outages for long hours, and most of the service centers are out of order, in addition to the shortage of medical staff. The clashes have also caused the deaths of dozens and the displacement of hundreds of families outside the city, as aid continues to be provided to include all families, whose number has reached more than one thousand and three hundred families.
