The Training and Human Resources Department at the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation continues its efforts to empower women and raise awareness of their societal role through the organization of a training course titled: Local Governance and Community Development: Women for Change.

The two-day course was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Othman Ali Homs, an expert in capacity building and community empowerment. It focused on enhancing participants’ skills in leadership, advocacy, and participatory planning, aiming to strengthen their presence in local governance and decision-making processes.

The training saw the participation of active women from diverse backgrounds, who demonstrated notable engagement and enthusiasm—reflecting a growing awareness of the importance of women’s role in achieving sustainable development and promoting social justice.

At the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Foundation, we believe that women’s empowerment is the cornerstone of the path toward change, and we are committed to continuing to deliver high-quality programs that contribute to this mission.
