STACO and Libyan Iron and Steel Company Discuss Joint Efforts to Promote Sustainable Development in Libya

Engineer Salem Al-Qamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation, received today at the Foundation’s headquarters in Tripoli, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Malik Al-Faqih, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company in Misurata. During the meeting, Eng. Al-Qamoudi welcomed Dr. Al-Faqih, providing a comprehensive explanation of the Foundation’s activities in the charitable, relief, development, and cultural fields.

Eng. Al-Qamoudi praised Dr. Al-Faqih’s efforts in supporting charitable work and development, stressing the importance of such visits to enhance cooperation between productive institutions and civil society, which contributes to the implementation of sustainable projects that serve all segments of society.

During the meeting, a group of future projects that the Foundation seeks to implement within the framework of supporting sustainable development in Libya were reviewed. These projects include the fields of relief, health, and training, in addition to cultural activities such as publishing, research, and organizing conferences.

For his part, Dr. Al-Faqih expressed his appreciation for the great efforts made by Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Foundation in improving living conditions and developing the most needy groups, stressing the need for cooperation between institutions to achieve comprehensive development. At the end of the visit, the Foundation honored Dr. Al-Faqih in appreciation of his support and interest in charitable and developmental activities.
