STACO Delegation Conducts Comprehensive Field Tour at Muhammadiyah University to Explore Its Pioneering Academic Experience
As a practical step following the signing of their joint cooperation agreement, a delegation from the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Organization (STACO), led by Eng. Salem Ramadan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Mohammed Eshkal, Director of Foreign Relations, conducted an extensive field tour across the campus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. Hamka , in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
This field visit aimed to closely examine the university’s educational infrastructure and explore the operational mechanisms across its various departments. This serves as a preparatory step to leverage this deeply rooted experience for STACO’s future educational projects in Libya.
A Tour Through the Corridors of Knowledge
The Libyan delegation’s tour included visits to several vital colleges, primarily the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences. There, they listened to detailed briefings from college deans regarding accredited academic curricula and modern teaching methodologies. The tour also featured visits to the university’s central library, scientific research centers, and interactive lecture halls that integrate the latest technologies into the educational process.
Observing the Academic and Student Experience
During the visit, the delegation explored Muhammadiyah University’s comprehensive academic model, which is distinguished by its exceptional ability to blend academic authenticity with an openness to modern sciences. The delegation also showed special interest in the mechanisms for welcoming new students, student welfare programs, and extracurricular activities that contribute to character building and refining students’ practical skills.
A Role Model to Emulate
Throughout the tour, Eng. Salem Ramadan expressed his profound admiration for the stimulating academic environment within the campus, as well as the high level of administrative and technical organization through which the university manages its vast operations. He emphasized that closely observing these precise details provides STACO with a clear and comprehensive vision of how to efficiently and capably manage major educational institutions.
This field tour represents a cornerstone in STACO’s ambitious project to establish the “Imam Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi University for Humanities.” The organization seeks to replicate this successful Indonesian academic model, thereby saving time and effort, to ultimately deliver a pioneering Libyan educational institution that meets global standards while preserving its cultural and religious identity.
