STACO Delegation Visits Nahdlatul Ulama in Indonesia to Explore Cooperation Prospects
In a move to strengthen international and humanitarian partnerships, a high-level delegation from the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Organization (STACO) paid an official visit to the headquarters of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
The STACO delegation included Eng. Salem Ramadan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Mohammed Eshkal, Director of Foreign Relations. They were received by Sheikh Abdullah Syamsul Arifin, Head of the Da’wah Committee at PBNU, alongside several of the organization’s leaders.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The Libyan delegation was briefed on PBNU’s extensive and historic experience in community empowerment and educational services. Eng. Salem Ramadan commended the profound societal and humanitarian role played by PBNU, emphasizing STACO’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that contribute to the advancement of humanitarian work and the sharing of successful experiences between the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Eshkal discussed opportunities for cooperation with the Indonesian counterparts in the areas of foreign relations, as well as cultural and educational exchange. Key proposed initiatives include:
- Developing joint programs in the fields of education and training.
- Exchanging expertise in the implementation of developmental and relief projects.
- Opening new avenues for student and academic exchanges between institutions affiliated with both parties.
This visit comes as part of STACO’s diligent and ongoing efforts to bolster international humanitarian partnerships and engage with global organizations that possess a long-standing record in community work.
