Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charity Foundation holds a working session with the Sudanese Embassy in Libya

A working meeting was held today, Thursday, August 23, 2024, between representatives of Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charity Foundation and Mr. Siddiq Abdul-Baqi, Consul of the State of Sudan in Tripoli, in the presence of the Embassy Advisor, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed.

During this meeting, the two honorable guests were welcomed, and the duty of solidarity and support for the Sudanese people was presented in order to reduce the disasters and crises after the war. For his part, the Consul expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Foundation for the assistance it provided to Sudanese refugees in Libya during and after the war.

The aim of the visit was to get to know closely the role of the Foundation, its various centers, and the humanitarian and charitable fields in which it works.

During this meeting, the two parties discussed a package of humanitarian issues and obstacles facing Sudanese refugees in Libya.

At the end of the meeting, the Consul and his companion praised the role of the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation and its local and international expertise in reducing the consequences of disasters and humanitarian crises. The two parties also agreed on the necessity of continuing charitable humanitarian work to confront the dangers that are ravaging the conditions of the Sudanese displaced and refugees in the Libyan desert, and all the cities and villages to which they have arrived.
