Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation organizes a scientific dialogue session on the repercussions of climate change and its impact on cities affected by crises

As part of its interest in urgent humanitarian issues, the Human Resources Development and Training Department at Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation organized a dialogue session entitled “Repercussions of Climate Change: Additional Challenges for Cities Affected by Crises”.

This initiative comes from the foundation’s belief that the most prominent challenges related to climate lie in the absence of the flow of scientific climate information between affected cities, which makes them unprepared to adapt to environmental shocks and increases their exposure to crises.

The dialogue session witnessed wide participation from academics and specialists, as they discussed issues directly related to climate change and its impact on vulnerable groups.

The attendees’ interventions also varied to enrich the discussion on the importance of addressing these issues, and to emphasize the need to enhance scientific efforts to provide solutions that contribute to mitigating the environmental impact and achieving better sustainability for affected communities.
