STACO Welcomes Czech Ambassador to Discuss Enhancing Scientific and Cultural Cooperation

TRIPOLI – LIBYA

The Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Organisation welcomed His Excellency Richard Kadlčák, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Libya, accompanied by the Diplomatic Attaché, at its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli. The official visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and support cultural and academic ties.

The visit featured an extensive discussion session focused on exploring new avenues for joint cooperation in the scientific and cultural domains. Both sides discussed the potential of launching mutual initiatives and programs designed to exchange expertise, enhance knowledge, and support projects that serve the local community and foster skill development.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kadlčák expressed his admiration for the Organisation’s efforts and activities. He reaffirmed his country’s dedication to consolidating cooperation with leading Libyan institutions and continuing to support joint cultural and educational initiatives.

For his part, Eng. Salem Abdulsalam Ramadan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Organisation, expressed his deep gratitude for the gracious visit, emphasizing the Organisation’s commitment to building bridges of cultural and scientific communication with the Czech Republic.

“We view this meeting as a significant strategic step towards establishing a fruitful and long-term partnership,” Eng. Ramadan stated. “We look forward to translating these discussions into tangible projects and action programs that contribute to enriching the cultural landscape, developing local competencies, and supporting the comprehensive development process in Libya.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, Eng. Salem Abdulsalam Ramadan presented His Excellency the Czech Ambassador with a copy of the book “The Rulers of Tripoli”, authored by the eminent Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi. This commemorative gift serves as a reflection of the profound Libyan heritage, documenting a pivotal era in the capital’s history, while underscoring the importance of cultural and intellectual exchange between the two parties.
