The Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Libya visits the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation to discuss ways to support the Sudanese community

Within the framework of strengthening humanitarian relations and joint cooperation, Engineer Salem Al-Qamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation (STACO), received His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Libya. The visit aimed to discuss ways to support the Sudanese community residing in Libya and enhance cooperation on issues of a humanitarian and social nature.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Foundation for its ongoing efforts in providing services and support to members of the Sudanese community, including healthcare, relief aid, and educational and social programs. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in alleviating the suffering of resident communities.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for implementing the voluntary return program for Sudanese citizens to their homeland, emphasizing the need for joint coordination with relevant authorities in Libya and Sudan to ensure the program’s implementation in a manner that preserves the dignity of returnees and protects their rights.
This visit is part of a series of meetings held by the Foundation as part of its humanitarian mission to serve displaced communities, refugees, and the most vulnerable groups. This reaffirms its commitment to its role in building effective partnerships and strengthening humanitarian solidarity within Libya and with its sister nations.
