A fruitful meeting between the Sheikh Taher Azzawi Charitable Foundation and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences to promote scientific cooperation

As part of its expanding activities in the field of humanitarian diplomacy, the Sheikh Taher Azzawi Charitable Foundation (STACO) held a fruitful meeting with Professor Vitaly Naumkin, one of the most prominent Russian academics specializing in Middle Eastern affairs, with the participation of the management of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The meeting discussed prospects for scientific and cultural cooperation between the two sides, the possibility of launching joint research projects, exchanging publications, and organizing scientific seminars and conferences on regional issues, focusing on the role of knowledge in promoting cultural understanding and achieving sustainable human development.
Both sides emphasized the importance of activating academic bridges between Russian and Libyan research institutions and developing tools for scientific dialogue to support stability and societal development in the region.
This meeting is part of the Foundation’s strategic efforts at the international level, and its efforts to expand its network of partnerships with leading global scientific institutes and institutions. This reflects its vision of combining humanitarian work with knowledge and consolidating the concept of humanitarian diplomacy as a tool for positive influence and constructive cooperation between peoples.
