Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation Organizes Awareness Session on Social Protection and Empowerment During Disasters and Crises

As part of its ongoing efforts to support and enhance the capacities of affected groups, the Human Resources Development and Training Department at the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation (STACO) organized an awareness session titled “Social Protection and Empowerment During Disasters and Crises.” The session targeted more than 60 displaced persons from areas affected by Hurricane Daniel.

The session focused on introducing methods and strategies to achieve social protection for vulnerable groups during disasters and crises, with a focus on enhancing the empowerment of women, children, and persons with disabilities to ensure their access to comprehensive humanitarian protection services.

During the session, the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation affirmed its commitment to continuing to provide community awareness programs, which contribute to raising community awareness and strengthening human resilience in the face of future challenges.

This initiative is part of a series of awareness-raising activities implemented by the Foundation as part of its strategy to support community development and achieve sustainable humanitarian response.
