The Chairman of the Board of Directors participates in the World Refugee Conference.
Mr. Salem Al-Qammoudi participated in the largest global gathering in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), where the conference sessions officially began on December 13 to 15, 2023, and dialogue sessions were held before the World Refugee Conference. The number of displaced people and refugees in the world is estimated at approximately 114 million refugees and displaced persons around the world. They were forced by war conditions; And climate change, and human rights violations, to leave their homes and hometowns, and no one wants to leave their home, their hometowns, and the place where they were born, but the circumstances are what forced these people to leave.
The International Refugee Conference holds its sessions amid a large international presence, with the participation of government delegations from all over the world and with the participation of non-governmental organizations, hosted by the State of Switzerland and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The Refugee Conference is considered the largest international gathering held every four years, and there are sessions on the sidelines of the conference, and lessons learned are exchanged. And experiences, meetings and partnerships with international non-governmental organizations in Switzerland under the auspices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
STACO is considered one of the non-governmental institutions that represents Libya by participating in the conference sessions, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors held many meetings and meetings with the heads and representatives of international non-governmental organizations participating in the World Refugee Conference.
