Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charity Foundation Participates in a Session on the Role of Youth in the Libyan Political Dialogue

As part of its initiatives to support the path of free and fair elections in Libya, the Head of the Women’s Empowerment Office at Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charity Foundation (STACO) participated in a dialogue session entitled “Youth Participation in Political Dialogue”, organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

The session was attended by Ms. Bryony Taylor, Communications and Youth Officer at UNSMIL, and Ms. Nao Kyi, Political Affairs Officer at the United Nations. During the session, the most prominent challenges facing the electoral process in Libya were discussed, with a review of innovative solutions to enhance youth participation and support their role in the electoral process.

This participation comes within the framework of STACO’s commitment to supporting the democratic process, and promoting the principle of peaceful transfer of power with transparency and integrity, leading to progress and prosperity for Libya.

The session also emphasized the pivotal role played by youth in achieving political transformation, and building a future that reflects the aspirations of the Libyan people towards dignity and comprehensive participation.
