The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation, Engineer Salem Al-Qamoudi, staco, participated in the Libyan Civil Society Forum, which was hosted by the Italian city of Naples on December 13/14 under the slogan:
(The role and priorities of civil society in the paths of stability and development in Libya)
Which was organized and invited by the Society of Sant’Egidio SANTGIDIO, the University of Perugia (Università degli Studi di Perugia) and the Institute of International Affairs (IAI).
The forum brought together a group of representatives of civil society, women’s and youth associations and non-governmental organizations from all over Libya. It was a platform for dialogue and analysis of the current humanitarian situation in Libya and solutions and proposals to confront challenges and obstacles and achieve peace. In the dialogue sessions, more than 20 working papers were presented and discussed by the participants calling for the provision of A decent life for all citizens, free of any discrimination based on ethnic, tribal or geographic affiliations, equal in rights, opportunities and duties.
Through their concluding recommendations, the participants called for the demands of civil society to be duly considered, with special attention to youth and women.
It is noteworthy that this forum came with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was attended by Deputy Minister Emanuela Del Re, in his support and appreciation for this event with his active participation in every stage of it.
