A delegation from the Sheikh Taher Azzawi Charitable Foundation (STACO) paid an official visit to the Tokyo Camii (Islamic Center of Tokyo) as part of the Foundation’s mission to Japan, aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation with international institutions.

The delegation was led by Eng. Salem Ramadan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Wahi, Director of Programs, and was received by Dr. Moussa Mohamed, Director of the Tokyo Islamic Center, who presented an overview of the history of Tokyo Camii and its cultural and social initiatives.

During the visit, the delegation toured the center’s facilities, which is regarded as one of Japan’s most prominent landmarks. Originally built in 1938 and reconstructed in 2000 with architectural inspiration from the Ottoman style, Tokyo Camii today stands as a beacon of cultural dialogue and mutual understanding.

Eng. Salem Ramadan expressed his appreciation for the center’s role in promoting values of tolerance, coexistence, and cross-cultural communication, emphasizing STACO’s commitment to learning from successful international experiences in the cultural and social fields.

This visit reflects the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international presence and build bridges of humanitarian and cultural cooperation with institutions worldwide, in alignment with its mission to serve humanity wherever it is needed.
