Airport Road Shelter Center – Tripoli
The Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation inaugurated a medical clinic in the accommodation center on Airport Road in the capital, Tripoli, after maintaining it and providing it with furniture, medicines and medical supplies.
In this context, the Coordinator of the Health Unit Project at the STACO Foundation expressed his happiness that the medical team of the Foundation was able to provide free medical care to vulnerable groups in the clinic equipped with basic medical supplies. He also welcomed the partnership signed between the STACO Foundation and the International Organization for Migration, according to which the two teams will work together to provide Primary and emergency health care services for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants at the Airport Road shelter center in Tripoli, with a periodic follow-up system for sick cases and ensuring the necessary treatment.
During the official opening of the clinic on June 16, 2018, 57 migrants were seen, including 38 women.
It is noteworthy that the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation strives to provide primary health care services, and alleviate the suffering of hundreds of thousands of African and Arab refugees and immigrants who are in the shelters.
