Chairman of the Board of Directors participates in the World Refugee Conference.

Mr. Salem Al-Qamoudi participated in the largest global gathering in Geneva, sponsored by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The conference sessions officially began on December 13-15, 2023, and dialogue sessions were held prior to the World Refugee Conference. The number of displaced persons and refugees worldwide is estimated at approximately 114 million, forced by war, climate change, and human rights violations to leave their homes and places of birth. No one wants to leave their home, their birthplace, or the place where they were born, but circumstances have forced these people to leave. The International Refugee Conference is held amidst a large international audience, with the participation of government delegations from around the world and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), hosted by Switzerland and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The Refugee Conference is the largest international gathering, held every four years. It includes sideline sessions, exchanges of lessons learned and experiences, and meetings and partnerships with international NGOs in Switzerland, under the auspices of UNHCR.
STACO is one of the NGOs representing Libya through its participation in the conference sessions. The Chairman of the Board of Directors held numerous meetings with heads and representatives of international NGOs participating in the International Refugee Conference.
