Al Khums – Libya
Yesterday, the Libyan Coast Guard managed to rescue 84 migrants of African and Arab nationalities, including two children and 8 women, during a rescue operation near the city of Al-Khums, east of the capital, Tripoli, and retrieved 6 bodies of men while they were trying to cross the Mediterranean to Europe on a rubber boat.
The team of the Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation (staco) provided humanitarian and medical aid to the migrants who were rescued at the disembarkation point in Al-Khums before being handed over to the shelter center.
Where the Staco team provided medical treatment to eight people who were seriously injured as a result of a rubber boat fire, two of them were treated and transferred with the rest of the migrants to the shelters of Souq al-Khamis to be deported after that, and six seriously injured people were transferred to the sanatorium.
