STACO Meets with UN Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture

As part of its ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships and enhance its humanitarian mission, the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Organization (STACO) held a productive meeting today in Geneva with the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture, administered by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. The meeting was attended by Eng. Salem Al-Qamoudi, Chairman of STACO’s Board of Directors.

During the discussions, Mr. Al-Qamoudi delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting STACO’s achievements and its most significant humanitarian and relief projects in Libya, with particular focus on programs designed to support the most vulnerable groups affected by conflict. He emphasized that the organization’s work is firmly rooted in the principles of justice, human dignity, and the delivery of aid without discrimination.

The meeting also explored opportunities for future collaboration and avenues of partnership in shared humanitarian fields, with the aim of generating sustainable positive impact and reinforcing respect for human rights and social justice.

At the conclusion of the meeting, STACO reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to working alongside international partners to support affected communities. The organization also praised the crucial role of the United Nations and its funds in advocating for victims and promoting universal values of humanity.
