The Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation organized the distribution of humanitarian food aid to 4,000 affected families. Ramadan baskets were distributed in the city of Sabha in the south of Libya, containing basic foodstuffs; This is in an effort to alleviate the suffering and acute food shortage due to the current conditions that the region is going through.
This aid was provided by the sisterly Emirates of the Emirates as part of the “Emirati Humanitarian Day” initiative, which falls on the 19th of the blessed month of Ramadan every year, in commemoration of the death of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – may God have mercy on him, and in commemoration of his efforts and achievements in the field of humanitarian work.
And since the “Year of Zayed” is a national occasion held to celebrate charitable and humanitarian work, along with local and global achievements, and what the founding leader presented to all of humanity, regardless of any political, ethnic or religious considerations.
