In a renewed meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi STACO Foundation, Eng. Salem Al-Qammoudi, met with Dr. Amer Al-Zamali, Doctor of International Humanitarian Law and Advisor to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen international humanitarian law in Libya and the extent of the importance of spreading and introducing it, training the foundation’s cadres and holding seminars on international humanitarian law and Islamic law. This comes within the framework of implementing the goals and implementing awareness and education programs on the rules and provisions of international humanitarian law that the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Business Foundation seeks. International humanitarian law is based on a number of treaties, especially the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, as well as a series of other conventions and protocols that cover humanitarian aspects.
