Chairman of STACO Receives H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Libya to Discuss Avenues of Cooperation and Coordination
In the context of enhancing relief efforts and expanding the horizons of joint charitable work, Eng. Salem Ramadan, Chairman of the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Foundation (STACO), received H.E. Dr. Hassan Al-Hard, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Libya, to discuss ways of coordination and joint cooperation, particularly regarding the latest developments in the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
The meeting, held at the Foundation’s headquarters, witnessed an in-depth discussion of the current humanitarian conditions experienced by the brotherly Yemeni people, along with the major challenges facing the health, education, and food security sectors. The talks focused on mechanisms for providing possible support and how to unite efforts to alleviate the suffering of the most affected and vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, Eng. Salem Ramadan emphasized the depth of the historical and brotherly relations connecting the Libyan and Yemeni peoples. He noted that the Foundation places responding to humanitarian crises at the forefront of its priorities, expressing full readiness to cooperate with the Yemeni Embassy and relevant authorities to provide relief support and facilitate the delivery of aid according to available resources.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Hard expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm reception, praising the pioneering role played by the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Foundation in the fields of charitable work both inside and outside Libya. His Excellency the Ambassador reviewed the most urgent needs inside Yemen, emphasizing the importance of building effective partnerships with Libyan charitable institutions known for their efficiency and transparency to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to maintain direct communication between both sides and to work on crystallizing a joint vision for developing future humanitarian action plans. This aims to serve noble common goals and contribute to supporting the humanitarian stability of affected communities.
