Kazan Concludes “Russia – Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group Summit with International Reaffirmation of Shared Values and Enhanced Developmental Action

The annual meeting of the “Russia – Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group has officially concluded in the Tatar capital, Kazan. Held under the theme “Shared Values as the Foundation for Cooperation and Mutual Understanding,” the event witnessed high-level international participation, gathering an elite group of officials, diplomats, and civil society leaders from the Russian Federation and across the Islamic world.

His Excellency Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group, presided over the closing sessions, which centered on formulating comprehensive strategies to enhance humanitarian and economic rapprochement. Participants emphasized the critical need to activate public diplomacy and deepen interfaith and intercultural dialogue as pivotal pillars for addressing contemporary global challenges. They also reviewed prospects for academic cooperation within the framework of the “Greater Eurasian Partnership.”

Amidst this global momentum, the Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation (STACO) concluded its official participation, having attended at the invitation of the Group’s presidency. Represented by its Chairman of the Board, Eng. Salem Ramadan, the Foundation’s involvement reflects the growing significance of humanitarian organizations’ presence in such strategic platforms. These forums provide a crucial opportunity to transition charitable endeavors from localized, direct-response frameworks toward the broader horizons of sustainable developmental planning.

The Foundation’s delegation underscored the necessity of building communication bridges and cross-border alliances, which serve to connect humanitarian action with emerging economic funding opportunities. Furthermore, the participants highlighted the importance of channeling Islamic finance tools and the Halal industry toward supporting community empowerment projects and alleviating poverty in vulnerable societies.

The conclusion of the Group’s proceedings coincided with the main events of the 17th Kazan International Economic Forum (KazanForum). The STACO delegation actively engaged in the forum to explore partnership prospects in sustainable development and attended the official inauguration ceremony of “Kazan – Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2026.”

The summit culminated in a closing statement affirming that deepening scientific and humanitarian ties is the cornerstone of building a sustainable future. Participants stressed that charitable work and humanitarian diplomacy provide a solid, neutral foundation to support stability, eradicate the root causes of crises, and foster mutual trust and collaborative action between the Russian Federation and the Islamic world.
