Discussions Between STACO and the Islamic Development Bank to Implement the “Imam Tahir Al-Zawi University” Endowment Project

In the context of strengthening strategic partnerships and supporting educational and developmental projects, an important meeting was held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, bringing together Mr. Abdul Fattah Al-Aref, envoy of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Foundation, and Mr. Ahmed Abu Bakrin, Director of the Regional Hub of the Islamic Development Bank in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The meeting focused on discussing and consolidating avenues of mutual cooperation between the Foundation and the Islamic Development Bank, with the aim of establishing appropriate mechanisms to implement and support the pioneering endowment university project, “Imam Tahir Al-Zawi University for Humanities and Digital Transformation.”

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the future vision of the endowment project, which aspires to create a qualitative leap in the higher education sector. This is to be achieved by integrating humanities disciplines with the requirements of the modern era, represented by digital transformation, thereby serving sustainable development goals and building the capacities of future generations.

This meeting reflects the keenness of the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Charity Foundation to mobilize support for projects with a sustainable impact, and to leverage the expertise and capabilities of the Islamic Development Bank in financing and ensuring the success of major developmental and educational projects in the region.
