Mr. Salem Al-Qamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr.: Al-Sadiq Karima, Director of the International Cooperation Department at STACO Foundation met with Mr.: Alaa Tartir, Project Manager for the small arms survey program, to discuss the development of partnership in the field of disarmament and the integration of armed formations into civilian life, and the extent of achieving social peace within societies The local authorities, in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities in Libya, where the project manager praised what the Foundation has achieved during the past months by paying attention to this important file.
It is worth noting that the small arms survey is an independent research project located at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. It provides impartial and general information on all aspects of small arms and light weapons, in addition to research on small arms issues. It works on survey and disarmament initiatives in Communities in cooperation with (governmental and non-governmental) bodies, and it plays the role of a forum and a clearinghouse for sharing information.

The role of the Small Arms Survey Project is to identify all aspects of small arms and armed violence. It provides the research and analysis needed to support and reduce the incidence of armed violence and illegal trafficking through evidence-based analysis. The project team includes international experts in security studies, political science, law, international public policy, development studies, economics, conflict resolution, and sociology. And it works. The team work closely with a global network of researchers and partners.
