The Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation mourns the late Professor Fuad Sezgin (1924-2018 AD), a pioneer in studies of the history of Arab and Islamic sciences, who passed away today, Saturday, June 30, 2018, and was buried in Istanbul, Turkey.
The deceased was one of the greatest historians of the scientific heritage of Arabs and Muslims, founder and honorary director of the Institute for the History of Arab and Islamic Sciences in Frankfurt, Germany, and author of the huge encyclopedic book “History of Arab Heritage”. Great in the service of Islamic civilization and its sciences.
