The Chairman of the Board of Directors holds a meeting with the Director General of the International Institute of Insect Physiology and Ecology
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Sheikh Tahir Al-Zzawi organization, Salem Al-Qammoudi, held a meeting with the Director-General of the International Institute of Insect Physiology and Ecology to discuss ways of cooperation in the fields of Agriculture and livestock breeding.
During the meeting, they discussed how to benefit from the Institute’s experiences in confronting insect pests that harmed palm trees in Libya and enhancing support for farmers in honey production.
The development of the aquaculture project previously implemented by the organization also discussed, and enhancing scientific cooperation and supporting Libyan researchers.
Al-Qammoudi stressed the Organization’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation to improve agricultural production and livestock breeding in Libya by benefiting from the expertise of the International Institute of Insect Physiology and Ecology.
It is worth noting that the International Center for Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) in Nairobi, Kenya, has been working since 1970 to improve health and economic conditions in developing countries by managing pests, promoting sustainable agriculture, and improving food security through advanced research and international cooperation.
