The Department of Social Affairs at the Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation organized a workshop entitled (Legal Literacy for People with Disabilities).
This workshop came to introduce Law No. 5 of 1987 AD regarding the disabled, identifying the categories that fall under this law, as well as the specific rights, benefits and privileges granted to the disabled, such as exemption from customs taxes on what the disability forces them to import, transportation facilities and other rights such as the right to accommodation, care, education and work, and specify the regulations Conditions for exercising these rights.
The workshop also included panel discussions by the attendees and discussed the weaknesses of this law and everything related to the rights of people with disabilities.
