Mr. Salem Al-Qamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Al-Sadiq Karima, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Corporation, and the accompanying delegation met with Mr. Andre Schelino, Director of Operations for Middle East and North African Affairs.
This meeting came to talk about achieving security and stability in Libya in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program – UNDP and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya – UNSMIL. Al-Taher Al-Zawi in achieving social and human peace within society through the initiative for disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) in support of peace.
The Geneva Center (DCAF) is an international organization established at the initiative of the Swiss Confederation in 2000 for the development of security and democratic oversight of the rule of law in strengthening Security Sector Governance (SSG) through Security Sector Reform (SSR), and the Center works to support effective security sectors and efficient and accountable to the state and its citizens by recognizing the importance of security, development and the rule of law as prerequisites for achieving sustainable peace based on the principles of neutrality, impartiality, gender sensitivity and local ownership as foundations to support sustainable and legitimate reform processes.
